  6. NewsWatcher has gone "final". We are no longer using "beta" version
  7. numbers.

  9. There are only a few minor changes since the last beta version 2.0b27.

  12. Errors fixed and other changes
  13. ------------------------------

  15. If your quote string was empty, NewsWatcher wouldn't let you post,
  16. because it mistakenly thought every line of your message was quoted
  17. text. Fixed.
  18.  
  19. If you opened an article which contained "spoiler characters", then
  20. closed the article, then opened it again, NewsWatcher lost track of the
  21. spoilers and didn't display the article in sections properly. Fixed.

  23. If you used Internet Config, using NewsWatcher's preferences dialog to
  24. turn off the default folder for extracting binaries didn't work
  25. properly. Fixed.

  27. The Help key on the extended keyboard, Command-?, and Command-/ now
  28. open the first NewsWatcher help topic, the one titled "NewsWatcher
  29. Help".

  31. In the message window detailed view, the field labels "Message body:"
  32. and "Signature:" are always displayed. A few people were typing the
  33. body of their messages in the signature field. Perhaps this will help
  34. avoid that mistake.

  36. Apple says that programs should not try to use Open Transport on 68K
  37. Macs until version 1.1 is released. For this reason, NewsWatcher uses
  38. Open Transport only if it is installed and you are running on a Power
  39. Macintosh.
